The Global Outlook for Carbon Fiber 2009 will be held September 22-24 at the Hilton Torrey Pines Hotel in La Jolla, California. It will be chaired by Dan Pappano, Global Marketing Manager Carbon Fiber at Hexcel, and Ben Rasmussen, President of BMR Associates.
The EU Carbon Fibre 2008 conference drew over 100 executives from the Carbon Fiber industry to Hamburg Germany to hear presentations covering emerging markets for carbon fiber in India, China, and Middle East; market trends; perspectives from major end users of Carbon Fiber (including Boeing and BMW); and the latest technical developments in carbon fiber production and processing.
At this year’s conference over eighteen representatives from leading corporations in the carbon fiber industry will give presentations covering global and regional supply and demand of carbon fiber, the impact of economic developments on supply and demand of carbon fiber, new developments in established and emerging markets, recycling of carbon fiber, new applications, production challenges and opportunities, new production methods, and technical developments. Pre-conference events wil be held on September 22. Over 100 executives are expected to attend this year’s event. There will also be a number of sponsored luncheons, networking functions, and an exhibit area.
